Ion Udrea joined Ascendis as a Trainer in January 2025. His professional journey sits at the intersection of healthcare, human resources, and education, combining strategic thinking with a strong passion for developing people and organizations.
A trained medical doctor, Ion chose to dedicate his career to enhancing individual and organizational performance. He brings over 25 years of experience across life sciences, energy, retail, and professional services, having worked both as a senior HR executive and as a consultant in organizational transformation and leadership.
He began his career in pharmaceutical sales and, after five years, transitioned into training and development. He then spent more than five years delivering training programs for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies, before moving into consulting. Over the past seven years, he has held HR Director roles in Romania’s largest utilities company and in an innovative IT company.
Ion holds an Executive MBA from Central European University in Vienna. Throughout his career, he has lived and worked internationally, including in Slovenia and the Gulf region, delivering training programs and consulting interventions across multiple European countries.
